WWME’s team are operations experts in sourcing water, managing, transporting, treating, permitting, designing infrastructure for, and mitigating operational risks associated with solid waste, drilling waste, flowback, liquid waste, oilfield fluids, produced water, oil/water separation, and NORM (naturally occurring radioactive materials.

We understand the full chain of custody along with tradeoffs, liabilities, costs, regulations, and operations balancing required between waste generation, transfer and transport, treatment, recycling, discharge, and surface and subsurface disposal.

The foundation of our expertise in waste and water management program design, budgeting, and operations strategies is hands-on field experience from many hundreds of well sites and field-based water management programs, along with intimate familiarity with drilling, completion, and production practices, economics, services, and equipment related to water and waste management.

Full Spectrum Water Management Services

Typical operations include freshwater and brackish aquifer identification and characterization by world-class hydrogeologists, logistics planning and design (integrating water transfer lines, permanent pipelines, and supplementary hauling), storage, mixing, and pre-treatment strategies, on-the-fly treatment of fracwater, frac flowback separation, storage, and treatment, all aspects of water treatment for recycle and reuse and EOR program support.

EnergyMaker’s offers extensive expertise to assure safe operation of underground injection programs, including regional and site-specific disposal well risk assessment including maintenance and local operational factors, formation health and pressurization trends, under-and over-pressured zones, lost circulation zones, and seismic risk factors associated with injection programs and “anomalous” earthquake activity attributed to oil and gas operations. Permitting Specialists

Our permitting specialists have years of experience in working with and navigating through state regulators, the EPA, and groundwater conservation groups. In addition to having field-evaluated some 400 water treatment technologies, we provide a thorough understanding of current cost metrics for all aspects of water and waste management.

Mobile Field Application

We specialize in mobile field application strategies, including rapid system design, deployment, and field optimization. Effective deployment of mobile field strategies applied to hauling and logistics programs can provide up to a 20% reduction in water logistics costs.

Internal Program Management

In addition to operations design, implementation and oversite, we help bridge operations with transitional field management concurrent with permanent field personnel recruiting, vetting, qualification and training for low-cost internal program management.

Design and Construction

We regularly advise on greenfield facility location siting, water treatment facility design and construction, logistics / multimode transport hub design and construction, and facility upgrading and re-purposing.

Field-Test Water Treatment

We regularly work with inventing companies, oil and gas operators and other potential clients, and investment groups to field-test water treatment systems. Testing and pilot programs are thoroughly designed prior to field deployment, so that field operations are handled efficiently with minimal, if any, impact on drilling and completions programs.

Minimize Risk

Baseline comparisons are developed for the target system, as well as current practices, and minimal cost approaches (filtration, settling, and oxidation for example.) Pragmatic, appropriate sampling so as to determine true performance in a variety of field conditions helps minimize risk for potential early adapters, and provides field performance insights to technology developers.
