According to a recent report by the Houston Chronicle, the third week of July saw a drilling permit bonanza in the Lone Star State, with 286 drilling permits filed. A new report by the US Geological Survey (USGS) states that the Delaware Basin’s Wolfcamp shale and Bone Springs Formation hold the largest potential oil and gas resources ever discovered.
