James Rodgerson is a Sr. Completion Engineer with thirty-five years drilling and completions experience and thirty years of shale and LTO unconventional completion experience. He specializes in all aspects of hydraulic fracturing design, operations, evaluation, costing, and budgeting. James has fifteen years consulting experience for various oil and gas companies as an in-house engineer, most recently as Completion Advisor for Devon Energy. Prior to Devon, James was Sr. Completions Engineer at BP Exploration & Production, Inc. In addition to his expertise in hydraulic fracturing, he is a technology expert and has contributed to research and development, commercialization, and field engineering associated with new technologies. Completion-related skills include G&G team mentoring, computer modeling and hydraulic fracture and completion design techniques, DFIT (Diagnostic Fracture Injection Test) analysis, DTS/DAS fiber optic implementation and evaluation, microseismic, completion optimization, in-depth log, core, and BHP analysis. He has worked in many if not most of the prolific shale and LTO plays throughout the U.S., and has extensive experience from both Service Companies (30 years with BJ Services/Baker Hughes) and Operators (in-house consultant to multi-national and leading independents.) James holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Texas A&M University.
